| I have recently moved from the year round growing season of Phoenix Arizona to about a5 month growing season in Columbia Missouri. I will bring my plants in for the winter. I am wondering if anyone has any good ideas for an inexpensive way to provide increased heat and lighting for the plants for the winter. I could hang a tube light with fixture from my ceiling and place it about 3 feet or so above the plants. But then where do I put the lights for heating. Am I thinking too much? Should I just bring em in and put em by a window or should I put them in a cool dark place for the winter as I've seen suggested. Any photos of your set up? Any suggestions? |

| From what I've read, you don't have to bring Bryophyllum plants inside during the winter and a cool dark place isn't required either... these plants are tough, considering their native environment. I wouldn't mother/father them too much, or that in itself might kill 'em off. Leave them plants outside with the dogs, in a sunny spot, where they'll get snow/rain. |
