subject I need advise
kitty 2006-04-15 19:54:34
Hi, my friend gave me my first plant, I dont know what species it is, but i have recognised it in your pictures as a Bryophyllum daigremontianum as my friend called it a mexican hat plant. I grow it indoors, in a plastic pot. It has grown very tall and was told by the friend to stop it growing by taking out the new leaves growing.

It then split into two stems and was told to stop it growing again. Now on both of them, they have stopped growing higher, and the leaves at the bottom are dropping off. I took off the seedlings off the leaves and have potted them, what am i to do about the original plant?

I have read something called etoliate? Is this what my plant is doing? Ive had it for a year, and have tried uploading a photo but it wont let me. Any advise would be grateful. Apologies for the long message but i am new to this form of plant.
