subject Q: Cold and sunny or warm and dark?
ethereal 2005-01-17 20:37:56
hi,
ive had my bryophyllum for about a year and half, I recently moved and have found my window sill to be very cold, but its the only place with direct sunlight. I know its probably in hibernation and probably doesn't ned much sunlight right now, but the real question is would it be better for it to be cold and next to a window, or warm and with out sun for the winter?

thank you!

Hi there! :-)

If the plants are "sleeping" right now, a cool and darker place is recommended. I know this is a problem in flats - I'm having big troubles getting my bryophyllum over the winter. If you keep them in the warm flat, without direct sunlight, don't forget to water them from time to time. But don't water too much, otherwise they will etoliate.

Yours,
Captain.
