EXCHANGE - trade plants, plantlets and seeds

Hi All,
I have MANY B. crenatodaigremontianum plantlets and a few B. Diagremontianums. I'd like to trade for anything else, because I just love these plants. I'd like to find B. rosei var. rosei, B. gastonis-bonnieri or B x serratifolium. Are these Bryophyllums hard to find??
I've never seen any of these Bryophyllums around here. I've had the B. Diagremontianms since 1982 and have yet to see another plant in this area, which is Ohio, USA.
Thanks in advance!

Hey rudydoo,
I don't see much of a difference between the B. crenatodaigremontianum and the B. Diagremontianums. They both look similar to the ones we had when I was growing up.
If possible, could I get some of the B. crenatodaigremontianums from you? I don't have any to trade. What would you charge for them?
I'm in Maryland.
Thanks! |

Hey pdc33!
Sure, I'd be glad to send you some B. crenatodaigremontianum. I had to bring my plants inside because of the cold, and I don't know what to do w/ all of the babies. Just email me to give me you home address and I'll send them to you.
I see a big difference between the B. cren... and the B. Diagremontianums. (That is if my plants are identified correctly. ) My B. cren.. grows fast and has tons of babies. My B. Diagremontianums grows much slower, has fewer babies and the leaves are pointed. I have my pictures of my plants posted on this site. You can check them out.

| I'd love to be able to send you some babies. Unfortunately, my "mother plant" doesn't like this Ohio weather, and it's pouting because it's not getting enough sunlight Hopefully in the spring, it will perk back up and will produce more babies. If I get more, I'll gladly share. |

Hello!
I'm sad to say that this past winter was very rough on my bryophyllums. And the funny thing about this is this past winter winter wasn't nearly as bad as the winter before and I lost several plant during the milder winter. This doens't make sense. Anyhow, I no longer have my beautiful B. crenatodaigremontianum that I posted on this site. I do have a B. Diagremontianums, but it's stuggling right now, but I hope to get some babies soon...at least a couple to start a new plant because the mother plant looks saaaad. |

Hi, thanks for responding. If your plant looks sad and you need babies, you can tear a leaf off, place it on top of the soil, and this will 'force' it to produce them. I find it works better with the daigremontanum's when the leaf is cut into pieces. Also, it happens faster if the leaf is in the warm (so probably indoors would be a good idea if it is cool outside)
I can send you some different types if you like, but i dont have crenatodaigremontanum. |

Leesa~
I am looking for anything to get started. My neighboor had given us a "pregnant plant" when I was about six years old. Over the years, we watched it grow and have lots of "babies". I am now 25 and hav a 2 year old that I think will be as facinated with the "babies" as I was! If there is any way that you or any of the other members here could help me out that would be greatly appreciated!!! Trust me they will be very well loved!
Thanks to all!
