Sempervivum are hardy succulents. Not much water and everything will be o.k.. Tehy can take full sun, frozen soil etc.

Sorry, have to disagree here ;-)

"siempre viva" (leaf of life) is just another name for a Bryophyllum. It has nothing to do with the Sempervivums. While some species of the Sempervivums are cold hardy, none of the Bryophyllums is.

I guess Bryophyllum received the name "siempre viva" just because it produces so many offspring, therefore it is "always living".

uups ... sorry! I thought we were talking about Sempervivums. Oneyda finnaly got an answer after three months though they are kinda confusing. Hope this is a helpful information ...
