To stoneroller: I was unable to respond because I couldn't find your e-mail. My email is bstier@citynet.net I would be interested in any plantlets from all of the species.

Hi all :-)

I disabled the email-address in the normal view, because of spam robots.

If you are already registered, just log in and then you see the email addresses. Just a precaution!

But I would be glad if you continue to post here aswell, so that others can read your contributions aswell :-)

Yours,
Captain.

Thanks a lot for the images Kevin :-)

Debbie 2002-11-06 20:3
Forget it.Too complicated to figure out how to get around this site. I do appreciate being able to finally identify The plant by its official name. Bye

Captain 2002-11-06 21:4
Just tell me whats wrong ;-)
A little detail: people do not reply to your questions in a forum by email. That's a golden rule. That is not the purpose of a forum to send all the interesting answers by email. Other people want to know what others have to say :-)

Yours,
Captain.

stoneroller 2002-12-17 16:2
Right you are, Captain. I don't know how much trouble it would be... but if this forum could notify users (via email) when a reply to their posting has been submitted then one would know to return to the forum for reading. If Debbie had logged in and clicked on Stoneroller she could have sent me an email. Right? I will follow up with her to see if she still wants some plants. I received another request as well - that's why I came back to check it out. Later.

Hello Kevin!

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! I just included the notification-feature - well, you know this, since you just got the notification :-)

You're right. Just log in and you will see the members-emails.

Thanks for checking back! :-)
BTW, did you consider to join us at the Crassulaceae maillist ?
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/crassulaceae/
It is a truly wonderful group and they have helped me a lot!

Yours,
Hannes.

Subject: special gift
I was thinking about a month ago about different things and I remembered something my grandmother would do for us kids every now and then. She and my grandfather would winter over in Florida and besides the baskets of citrus she would bring back she would bring this thick green oval leaf that would sprout little plants in the notches. I decided to try to find out what that leaf was so did some searches and ended up here on this incredible website. Not being a botanist I didn\'t know what viviparous was but I do now thanks to the well planned and informative site. I would like to know, if there is a place I can buy a leaf or plantlets? Seeing it grow would remind of all the great times I spent with my grandma and the lessons she taught me. Funny....all that from one little leaf.

Hi Garth!

What a nice story :-)
My grandfather was very fond of plants aswell and I always enjoy the memories about spending time in the garden with him!

Thank you for your kind words about my site! Very much appreciated!

Regarding buying plantlets: Kevin was automatically notified of your post in this forum. He will probably contact you.
I'm in Austria and shipping to the US is a bit difficult (customs...)
But you can also post to the Crassulaceae Maillist. I'm sure someone from the US will send you some.

All the best,
Hannes / Webmaster

Garth,

Do you have an idea of which species you might like? Thick green oval leaf could mean a lot of things (B. crenatum?).

I would like to buy some plantlets of Bryophyllum crenatodaigremontianum, I'v been loooking for it for many years. I had one when I lived in Europe, and looking for it since I came to US, but never seen one yet.
THank you,
Flora.

I apologize for missing emails and postings from everyone trying to help me. If anyone has any type and would like to share some plantlets (I am not picky), I will try to return the favor. I really would like to get some growing. I did receive a very small narrow leaf (and some what sickly) variety from a friend and I am trying to keep it alive. My address is :
